![]() I have the feeling that Anki (for iOS) is the only paid app which is kind of being accepted on here.Īfter learning Katakana I should probably start with Kanji as well as grammar. In regards of LingoDeer and Memrise, I think some people here love it and some people hate it … pretty 50/50 from what I read. Also Bunpo looks pretty good so far (just did the Hiragana chapter for now), and I’m thinking about paying for the later chapters … For reviewing the Kana I’m using DJT Kana as I did not really find a great deck for Anki which I’m using on my iOS device. Today I’ll start learning Katakana, again James Heisig’s Remembering the Kana. I still would like to try The Japan Foundation’s Hiragana Memory Hint … Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics (the demo video thingie, didn’t try the app). ![]() Same goes for the visual mnemonics in Tofugu’s Learn Hiragana and the one’s I saw in Dr. I’m pretty sure the menmonic technique is great, but many of Heisig’s mnemonic stories/images are so … weird. This week’s Monday I finally started learning Hiragana with James Heisig’s Remembering the Kana. Another great resource was the DJT Guide … Last week I finally started learning Japanese … or, well, at least I started reading about how to learn Japanese, and it didn’t take me long until I found /r/LearnJapanese where I spent quite some hours on several days reading the Starter’s Guide and many, many threads.
